New Year's Eve, Thanksgiving, Sunday afternoon — we've done all three

Not cooling, not turning on, freezing up, or running nonstop. We diagnose the actual cause and tell you straight whether it's worth repairing.
- Refrigerant leaks & recharge
- Capacitor, contactor & compressor
- Older R-22 systems
- Same-day emergency service

No heat is not a next-week problem. We answer nights, weekends, and holidays, and we carry the parts that fail most.
- Igniters, flame sensors & blowers
- Heat exchanger inspection
- Short cycling & no-start diagnosis
- 24-hour emergency service

New furnace, new AC, or a matched high-efficiency system. Sized properly for your home, installed clean, explained before you sign anything.
- Furnace & AC replacement
- High-efficiency matched systems
- Written estimate with real options
- Old equipment hauled away

Leaking tank, no hot water, or ready to go tankless. Same-day replacement is usually possible.
- Tank repair & replacement
- Tankless installation
- Emergency leak response

If one room is always too hot and another is always freezing, the problem usually isn't the furnace. It's what's between it and you.
- Duct sealing & repair
- Vent replacement
- Crawl space & attic ventilation

A lot of customers who called about a furnace ended up asking us to handle the rest of the house. Same crew, same standards.
- Remodeling & renovation
- Decks & exterior repair
- Sump pumps & basement work

Storefronts, offices, salons, restaurants, and small industrial spaces. When your system goes down you're not just uncomfortable, you're losing business, so we treat it like the emergency it is.
- Rooftop units & split systems
- Service, repair & full installation
- Landlord & property manager accounts
- Scheduled maintenance agreements

Not an answering service. Not a callback queue. The number on this page rings the owner, and reviews going back ten years all say the same thing: he picks up, and he calls back fast.
One customer was told by us that the part she expected to replace only needed cleaning. Another was talked out of the plan she walked in with. If it doesn't need replacing, we'll tell you it doesn't need replacing.
New Year's Eve with no heat. Thanksgiving eve with a dead furnace. Memorial Day with a leaking water heater. Sunday afternoon with a flooded basement. All real calls, all answered.

- HOW IT WORKS
Step 01
Initial consultation
Call or text and tell us what's happening. Joe will often walk through it with you on the phone first, sometimes that alone solves it, and it costs you nothing.
Step 02
The detailed estimate
You get a written breakdown: what's actually wrong, every option you have, and what each one costs. Repair, replace, or leave it alone you'll hear all three before you decide.
Step 03
The work gets done
Joe and the crew handle it start to finish, clean up behind themselves, and confirm the system is running right before they pull out of the driveway.

It was New Year's Eve and we woke up with no heat. Joe and his team coordinated and were on the job within the hour. Now my pups and I are warm and cozy again.

He could have had me replace a part that simply needed to be cleaned, but he didn't. I appreciated his honesty and the savings.

Got to our house in 30 minutes when our air conditioner went out. Took the time to walk me through the whole unit — what was working, what wasn't, and cost-saving suggestions.

AC repair · Same day
It depends on what's wrong, but we'd rather give you real numbers than dodge the question. Most diagnostic and repair visits land between $300 and $600. Full system replacements typically start around $1,000 and go up depending on the equipment and the home. You'll get a written estimate before any work begins, and the number on that estimate is the number on the invoice.
You'll always hear all of them. For most problems there are three paths: repair what's there, replace the unit, or hold off and monitor it. We'll explain the cost and the realistic lifespan of each one, including the option that makes us the least money. Deciding is your job. Explaining is ours.
Same day is normal, and within the hour happens often, especially in and around Grayslake. Peak heat waves and deep cold snaps get busy, so call as early as you can. If we can't get to you in a reasonable window, we'll tell you that on the phone instead of leaving you waiting.
Yes. Equipment fails at the worst possible time, which is exactly when most companies aren't answering. We've taken calls on New Year's Eve, Thanksgiving eve, Memorial Day, and plenty of Sunday afternoons.
Yes — $175, and it comes straight off your bill if you have us do the work. That covers a real diagnosis: Joe comes out, tests the system, finds the actual cause, and tells you what he found and what your options are. You own that information whether you hire us or not. We charge for it because "free" diagnostics aren't free, the visit gets paid for somewhere, usually in a padded repair quote or a replacement you didn't need. We'd rather charge $175 up front and give you a straight answer than give away the visit and make it back on the invoice.
The honest rule of thumb: if the unit is under about ten years old and the repair costs a fraction of a replacement, repair it. If it's fifteen-plus years old, uses R-22 refrigerant, and this is the second or third repair in two years, replacement usually costs less over the next five years. We'll run the actual math on your unit rather than guessing.
We offer Rheem and Goodman equipment as options, as well as a variety of other equipment brands if needed, if you have a preference, let Joe know, and he'll take it from there.
Two of these come up on nearly every first call, so they're at the top
